Yesterday at the dinner table I offered some things for which I'm thankful.
I'm thankful to be alive. I'm thankful to be an American. We have so much that we usually take for granted, like regular food. Even if it's not always our favorite thing, most of us don't go too hungry. We have places to stay.
I'm thankful for family and friends, for people who love me. I'm thankful for hope, and joy, and peace.
Happy Holidays, folks.

Thanks for being here, John.
Happy Holidays to you, Miz R.
John, I too gave thanks for having hit the damned lottery, and having been born a citizen of this nation. Only about 5% of this planet enjoys such luck.
Whatever blessings we may feel jilted of, we enjoy this birthright, which most of the planet would trade almost anything for. If we forget to be thankful of that, we'll squander it away.
