I am in Ireland, and it is gloriously gorgeous.
I got an email today from my boss, apologizing for believing what an O4 who can't "stay in her lane" had said about me. I replied that officers have an obligation to tell the truth, and present it in the fairest way possible, so I didn't fault her for believing information from someone she should have been able to take at face value.
I admit it did hurt when I knew my boss believed some outright slander said about me, but after she got a better idea of the situation, she thanked me for "doing a terrific job in a
very unorganized location and (on a) chaotic project". And now I can relax and enjoy Ireland.
