Rise of the Nanny State

Proposed bill H.R. 1966 would make it a Federal crime to be Not Nice on the 'Net, with offensive speech described so broadly as to totally abrogate our First Amendment rights.

It's 1984 all over again.

I guess if it passed that would mean my blog handle and my blog would be a Federal crime.

I'm shaking in my boots.

The one place that a person can still "really" exercise their right to free speech is the Internet.

I for one am gotdam sick and tired of our nanny ass fucking government trying to tell me what I can say and when I can say it.

If my name or what I say offends the people I say it to, so be it. Let them that I have besmirched stone me or club me like a baby harp seal. I have no qualms with people that want to kick my ass for something I said to them or about them.

As for the government and their bliss ninnie political correctness, they can kiss my ass.

Fuck'em,

Joe

P.S. - If the bliss ninnies keep it up, I hate to say it but I might have to look at retiring in another country. I've loved the USA and defended her all my life but if we turn into an Orwellian country, Joe's got to go.
